Brian was born in Germany while his father was stationed there, serving in the U.S. Army. He was raised in Wichita, Kansas and developed a passion for cooking at an early age. After graduating from high school, he worked at the Airport Radisson Hotel in Wichita and soon after, convinced his parents to let him enroll in the Chef’s Apprenticeship and Hotel Management program at Johnson County Community College. Upon graduating, he became the Chef de Cuisine of Benton’s Prime Steak House on the Rooftop of the Westin Hotel here in Kansas City. Title

Clubhouse Manager

My journey at the Country Club of Leawood began in 2009 at Leawood South Country Club. I attended Missouri State University, where I later graduated, and returned each summer to work at the club during its remodel, helping shape the CCL we know and love today.

After completing my internship at CCL, I expanded my experience at Saddle and Sirloin, ultimately serving as Food & Beverage Director right after graduation. In 2018, I united with Marty and returned to CCL as Assistant Food & Beverage Director, a role I held until 2024.

Seeking to broaden my expertise, I continued my career as a Food & Beverage Director and General Manager outside the club before being fortunate enough to return once more in July 2025 as the Clubhouse Manager. I’m thrilled to continue serving our members and contributing to the exceptional experience that makes CCL truly special.
